Use one brief for every offer
Record the fastener, the count or weight, the bag or carton, the good packs you need, the utilities and the room limits. Mark each proposed feature as included, optional, customer-supplied or excluded.
A quote for a precision screw counter is not a quote for the counting, bagging and carton line. Where a sheet left speed blank, the price is not built by copying another machine’s piece rate.
A planning example: 10,000 accepted bags that are each short by one screw are 10,000 missing screws. That arithmetic values a short count. It is not a measured defect rate. The trial is where you learn the short-count rate for your parts. Send the parts and the pack.
